Prefer your own blood

PRF is a concentrate made from your own blood, prepared for your visit.

What it is

A concentrate made from your own blood

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is a natural concentrate prepared from a small sample of your blood. Once the sample is spun in a centrifuge, it separates into layers. The platelets, white blood cells, and fibrin that form the concentrate create a soft, natural matrix that carries your body's own healing components.

PRF is a second-generation platelet concentrate. Many clinicians describe its fibrin matrix as releasing growth factors gradually over time. Katherine explains what the current evidence shows and how it applies to your goals.

How it works

Three clear steps

Katherine explains each step before it happens, so you know what to expect.

1

Blood sample

A small amount of blood is drawn, the same way as a routine lab test.

2

Gentle spin

A brief spin in a centrifuge separates the blood so its healing components are concentrated.

3

Personal placement

Katherine places the PRF where it can support your skin, based on the plan you build together.

Your guide through every treatment

Do I need a consultation before treatment?

Yes. Your free consultation with Katherine Clark, RN, comes first. She reviews your goals, health history, and current medications, then explains which options fit your needs and what each one costs.

How is PRF prepared?

A small blood sample is drawn and spun in a centrifuge. The concentrate that forms is then used in your plan. Katherine walks you through each step.

How soon will I see results from PRF therapy?

Results develop gradually over several weeks. Katherine reviews your progress at follow-up.

Is there downtime after PRF therapy?

Mild redness or tenderness is a common, temporary effect that usually settles within a few days. Katherine reviews aftercare with you before you leave.

Who should have a health review before PRF therapy?

Katherine reviews each health history before treatment and may recommend a different option or a short delay when any of the following apply: blood-clotting or platelet disorders, anemia, blood thinners or medications that affect clotting, active infection or skin conditions at the treatment site, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or plans to become pregnant, or active cancer treatment.
